January 1, 1970 Posted By MCB Funds

Women are an integral part of the society and play a pivotal role in the development of our nation. Therefore, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, team MCB-IML partnered with Oraan to celebrate this special day at Ra’ana Liaquat Craftsmen Colony (RLCC), which provides vocational training to the women of Shah Faisal colony as a means to gain financial independence, for uplifting their own lives as well as the community as a whole. The significance of International Women’s Day lies in honoring the inspiring role of women in building our society and remembering the voices of many women that go unheard.

According to the renowned politician, Emily Taft Douglas, “If women understood and exercised their power, they could remake the world.” It is imperative for every woman to realize her true potential and be financially independent. When women earn for themselves, they are immediately more in control of their lives. Financial independence is not only a source of confidence but also gives them the credibility to participate in important matters of decision making, for themselves and their families. Hence, our society needs empowered women and supporting them to be financially independent is the key step towards it. Therefore, we educated them about how they can take simple measures to plan their finances for a secure future.

The first step is to realize their financial goals and develop a suitable plan. Most of the women were unaware of how to effectively track their expenses, save more and invest wisely. Therefore, we informed them about how they can simply take out a few minutes from their busy schedules to download our iSave app and create their account. In this way, they can start earning returns and turn their dreams into reality.

Here are some highlights from the day:
